1. Conditions of validity:
a. The warranty is valid for a period of two years from the date of purchase of the bicycle.
b. The bicycle has been regularly serviced, or at least once a year, by a professional partner approved by Batoo.

1. What is covered by the warranty:
a. Manufacturing defects: The warranty covers manufacturing defects of the cargo bike, including electrical and mechanical components provided by the manufacturer.
b. Battery: The warranty covers the electric cargo bike battery against manufacturing defects that abnormally affect its performance and durability.
c. Frame: The warranty covers the electric cargo bike frame against manufacturing defects that compromise its structural integrity.

3. What is not covered by the warranty:
a. Normal wear and tear: The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear resulting from regular use of the electric cargo bike, particularly for wear parts (derailleur cables and housing, brake cable and housing, transmission components, lubricants, rims, brake pads, light bulbs, tires and inner tubes, saddles, as well as the normal decrease in battery performance related to use).
b. Accidental or intentional damage: The Batoo warranty does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, negligence, unauthorized modification, commercial use, acts of vandalism, or any other intentional damage.
c. Non-compliant use: The warranty does not cover damage caused by using the electric cargo bike in a manner that does not comply with the instructions in the manual, particularly concerning load limits, conditions of use, and recommended maintenance.
d. Unauthorized modifications: The warranty may be voided if repairs or modifications are carried out on the electric cargo bike by anyone other than Batoo or an authorized service center.


4. Claim procedure:
a. In case of a defect covered by the warranty, the owner of the electric cargo bike must contact our after-sales service at +41 21 588 02 15 or by email at contact@batoobike.ch within a maximum of 24 hours after the problem appears to report it and initiate the after-sales service process.
b. The owner of the electric cargo bike may be required to provide proof of purchase, such as an invoice, as well as photographs or detailed descriptions of the observed defect.
c. Batoo reserves the right to inspect the electric cargo bike to assess the validity of the claim and determine appropriate corrective actions.

If the bicycle's damage is not covered by the warranty, you will be notified of the reason and the repair costs before any repairs are undertaken.

5. How Batoo ensures the warranty

a. Repair the part/bicycle
b. Replace the part
c. If, after a reasonable number of attempts to repair the bicycle (as determined by Batoo), these are unsuccessful, Batoo will replace the entire bicycle.
d. If the cargo bike's condition is deplorable or unmaintained, Batoo reserves the right not to perform a repair.
e. We waive labor costs for warranty-related services.
f. Warranty work must be carried out at authorized partner workshops; Batoo does not provide home service. If the customer requests a home repair service, travel costs are borne by the customer.

🚲 Subsidies for the purchase of an electric cargo bike with Batoo

With Batoo, you can benefit from the subsidies offered by your municipality for the purchase of an electric cargo bike.
Some municipalities also offer additional aid for the purchase of a battery.

We partner with independent financing providers who enable individuals and businesses to pay for their bicycle in 3 to 36 monthly installments.

These partners impose certain restrictions and fees on eligible customers:

- Be over 18 years old and

- Be a Swiss resident with a B or C permit or a Swiss citizen and

- Be creditworthy (No negative ZEK entry, no ongoing debt collection proceedings)

Our partners reserve the right to refuse applications for other reasons. Batoo has no control over the application acceptance criteria.

It is possible to finance your entire order up to CHF 10,000 or only a portion. You can reduce the number of monthly payments throughout your contract by paying all or part of the remaining amount due.

If the financing application is accepted, fees are applicable depending on the number of monthly payments requested. The fees are detailed on our "installment payment" product page.

We reserve the right to cancel your order if these fees are not honored.
