1. Conditions of validity:
a. The warranty is valid for a period of two years from the date of purchase of the bicycle.
b. The bicycle has been serviced regularly or at least once a year by a professional partner approved by Batoo.

1. What is covered by the warranty:
a. Manufacturing defects: The warranty covers manufacturing defects in the cargo bike, including electrical and mechanical components supplied by the manufacturer.
b. Battery: The warranty covers the electric cargo bike battery against manufacturing defects that abnormally affect its performance and durability.
c. Frame: The warranty covers the frame of the electric cargo bike against manufacturing defects that compromise its structural strength.

3. What is not covered by the warranty:
a. Normal wear and tear: The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear resulting from regular use of the electric cargo bike, in particular for wear parts (derailleur cables and housings, brake cable and housing, transmission elements, lubricants, rims, brake pads, bulbs, tires and inner tubes, saddles as well as the normal drop in battery performance linked to use)
b. Accidental or Intentional Damage: The Batoo warranty does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, neglect, unauthorized modification, commercial use, vandalism or any other intentional damage.
c. Improper use: The warranty does not cover damage caused by use of the electric cargo bike that is not in accordance with the instructions in the manual, in particular with regard to load limits, conditions of use and recommended maintenance.
d. Unauthorized Modifications: The warranty may be voided if repairs or modifications are made to the electric cargo bike by anyone other than Batoo or an authorized service center.


4. Complaint procedure:
a. In the event of a defect covered by the warranty, the owner of the electric cargo bike must contact our after-sales service on +41 21 588 02 15 or by email at contact@batoobike.ch within 24 hours of the problem appearing to report it and initiate the after-sales service process.
b. The owner of the electric cargo bike may be required to provide proof of purchase, such as an invoice, as well as photographs or detailed descriptions of the defect found.
c. Batoo reserves the right to inspect the electric cargo bike to assess the validity of the claim and determine appropriate corrective actions.

If the damage to the bicycle is not covered by warranty, you will be notified of the reason and repair costs before any repairs are initiated.

5. How Batoo ensures the warranty

a. Repair the part/bike
b. Replace the part
c. If, after a reasonable number of attempts to repair the Bicycle (as determined by Batoo), these are unsuccessful, Batoo will replace the entire Bicycle.
d. If the condition of the cargo bike is poor or not maintained, Batoo reserves the right not to carry out repairs.
e. We waive labor charges for warranty related services.
f. The handling of warranty work must be done at the workshop of approved partners, Batoo does not support home service, if the customer requests a home repair service, travel expenses are the responsibility of the customer.

Both insurance and warranty offer protection for your cargo bike, but they differ in coverage and conditions.

The insurance covers a wider range of unforeseen situations, such as accidents, falls, theft, and even damage caused by improper use or handling. It applies not only to the bike itself, but also to its permanently mounted accessories. This protection is valid worldwide, with a deductible of CHF 200 in the event of a claim, and is active for four years from the date of purchase. The insurance therefore offers you comprehensive coverage against everyday risks.

The warranty , on the other hand, covers manufacturing defects or component failures for a limited period. For example, our insurance offers an extended warranty of up to two years after the initial warranty expires, covering items like the frame, electronics, and battery if they don't meet the manufacturer's performance specifications. However, the warranty does not cover accidental or misuse damage, and it is usually limited to the repair or replacement of defective parts.

With Batoo, you are eligible for subsidies available in your municipality for the purchase of an electric cargo bike. Some municipalities also provide a subsidy for the purchase of a battery.

In 2024, subsidies are now reserved for the self-employed and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) . Individuals can no longer benefit from them.

Nos partenaires se réservent le droit de refuser des demandes pour d'autres motifs. Batoo n'a aucun contrôle sur les critères d'acceptation de la demande.

Il est possible de financer l'intégralité de sa commande à hauteur de 10'000 CHF ou une partie seulement. Vous pouvez réduire le nombre de mensualités à payer tout au long de votre contrat en payant tout ou partie du reste de la somme due.

En cas d'acceptation de la demande de financement, des frais sont applicables en fonction du nombre de mensualités demandé. Les frais sont renseignés en détail sur notre produit "paiement par mensualité".
